The question I want it to answer: to build the technologies we need to be competitive today and for decades to come, what capacity is already in place, and what do we have to build from scratch?
The pieces exist across Census, USGS, DoD reporting, and trade filings, but not in one place, and not in a form that helps anyone diagnose a problem or prescribe a policy. This is an attempt to assemble them and see what connections arise.
